The Fish Club Online School supported by FURUNO
Because we believe in the power of curiosity, FURUNO and Captain Sakana have teamed up to create a special school for kids who love fish and living creatures!
Through this experience, we want children to gain confidence in their own interests.
We hope they’ll feel proud to share what they love with others—and learn how to express those passions in fun and meaningful ways.
This school is a place where kids can meet friends who share the same likes, explore together, and grow together.

Events we joined
We supported the SPOGOMI World Cup Hyogo Stage that was organized by the Nippon Foundation. To engage with sea issues, Furuno sent six people in two teams. At the same venue, we also simultaneously held the Captain Sakana Talk Show & Workshop organized by Furuno, and thought about the environmental problems that the sea faces together with the children while having fun quizzing them about familiar types of fish.

We participated for the first time in the Miyakko Opening Festival organized by Hanshin Engei at Nishinomiyahama Sogo Park. To inspire people to feel closer to the sea, Furuno served seafood paella to about 1,000 participants.
We also held an event with Captain Sakana. After the talk show that included activities like a fish quiz, we held a workshop called Children and Parents Making Seafood Paella Together with Captain Sakana. The event was lit up with the smiles of children trying their hardest to make paella.
Furuno is a company that owes its existence and growth to the sea, and in order to inspire people to feel closer to the sea, we hold events at Nishinomiya Hankyu (the Hankyu Department Store) together with Captain Sakana, who is also active as a radio DJ and announcer.
At this event, under the theme of "Bring the sea of Nishinomiya into the future — What kind of sea is the sea of Nishinomiya," Captain Sakana uses quizzes and workshops about familiar fish to teach children about the wonders of the sea.

Captain Sakana Self-Introduction
My name is Captain Sakana, and I currently serve as the Official Furuno Ambassador.
My mission is to spread the word about the wonders of the sea on the television and through the radio, and draw picture books and sing songs to give children opportunities to discover and grow fond of marine life. when I was a child, I remember feeling the fun of going fishing with my father and the sense of seasonality experienced through the flavor of fresh Pacific saury. And in order to fill the hearts of the children of the future with the same sort of experiences of bountiful nature, I spread the word about the importance of the sea in a fun way.
Together with Furuno, I help to protect the sea of the future!
