To help everyone feel more familiar with the sea, we hold events at different locations together with Captain Sakana, Official FURUNO Ambassador. Under the theme of, "If children develop a love for fish, they will take good care of the sea," he uses quizzes and workshops about familiar fish to teach children about the amazingness and fun of the sea.

In the summer of 2022, two elementary school students who participated in an event hosted by our company learned about the charm of the ocean and environmental issues, and directly approached the principal of their elementary school, saying, "I want everyone at school to know about this, not just us." 
Their passion sparked the beginning of a new initiative: an environmental learning event designed to bring their vision to life.

An annual event! In-house market full of fresh seafood

FURUNO was the first company in the world to commercialize the fish finder. Building on our strong relationships with the fishing community, we invite members of the Japan Fisheries Cooperative to our headquarters about twice a year to sell fresh seafood like crabs, tuna, and squid right inside our company building. These events not only offer a taste of the ocean’s bounty but also spark meaningful conversations and deepen appreciation for the sea, inspiring a stronger connection and a shared commitment to protecting it.

Harnessing the network of FURUNO, which deploys sales offices all over Japan, we created a spot to introduce client fish sellers in regions all over Japan who we have relationships with and the attractive marine products handled there.
